Hello everyone. I have been trying to figure out how to install this trim piece that bridges the gap between the headliner and the windshield. The interior screw kit came with 6 screws that are about 5/8" long and will not connect to anything. Knowing something was missing I found a place that has these clips which I bought but do not know how or what they connect to. Has anyone install this trip piece. I have uploaded some pictures to provide clarity. I appreciate any advice you have for me. Thanks Nardo

I don't have a picture right now, but those clips go into the slots in your roofline in the car. The tabs go into the roof and then get pinched to keep the clip in place. The trim then goes into the car and gets screwed into that clip which catches the screw basically and gives it something to thread into.

I'd take a few pics for ya, but I don't have the car at my house right now. I am sure someone can chime in with some pics.

Thank you!! To what/where do those tabs on the clips fasten to? Do I have to push them into the headliner end board?

They go in holes in the metal. The two nubs get squeezed together which spreads the legs (giggity) inside the hole to hold it in place. Like dad said, be careful on the repop bracket as the metal is more brittle than oem.

Gentlemen, thank you both. I did not know there were holes up there since the headliner covered them. This makes perfect sense now. I appreciate the support, very much.

Get off your phone, grab a computer and browse his site. Interior... trim clips or use the search window. Some stuff takes some work to find on his site, but he has most everything provided it's still not "covid" back order.
