seeing how I'm about to bring out my magnum this spring one other thing needs attention.when I turn on my wipers sometimes they swing normal then they swing far right and left then normal and so on.when I shut them off they don't go into park position.I got the new bushings for it .thinking might worn out gears in motor.

I'm no expert, but I did experience a similar effect after taking mine apart for cleaning/grease and paint. Underneath the cover is a "cam dog", when you loosen the screws going around the outside, you'll be able to turn it clockwise. I'd suggest that a small adjustment be made to see if you're going in the right direction, mark your starting point before adjusting.
Did you have the wiper arms off? If they got to the bottom windshield trim hard, I believe that it could be possible to "overtravel" the "stop".
Does it help to select a slow speed before going to the stop position?
