He or the buyer may need this.
I gotta agree, a sheet and/or a tag would be nice...
The guy who owned it before my buddy passed away & before that he had misplaced the tag,
Yup... About the only way to do that these days is with photographs... The SPD would be a factor too, since Petty Blue went away early and some of the special ordered colors didn't arrive until late in production...Forgive my ignorance on this subject. Wouldn't a fender tag for 1969 Road Runner painted Petty Blue show paint code 99. Didn't they use 99 for all special ordered colors? If they did, how do you prove what the actual special ordered color was?
In 68 I think it was 999, in 69 it was 99... FWIW..The 999 paint code meant it was a non factory color.
For those who say the tag/sheet doesn't matter... Here's my thoughts... Yes, if you are of the build what you want we know it's a Roadrunner camp.... I agree, to a point... But this particular color (Petty Blue) was only offered for a very short period in 69 because before the racing season began Richard Petty signed with Ford since Plymouth didn't have anything that could compete with the Charger 500/Daytona/Talladega Areo cars.... So a documented Petty Blue 69 Roadrunner is considered kinda special...
Yup.... But Bill's is a little more special....It's missing something... The roof... Only Petty Blue 69 Roadrunner Vert Chrysler Corp built...Isn't Bill Adams' car the same color?
Very nice.Yup.... But Bill's is a little more special....It's missing something... The roof... Only Petty Blue 69 Roadrunner Vert Chrysler Corp built...
