What's it Worth WIW 69 Roadrunner Petty Blue 4spd project

A buddy asked me to poll the members on what his 69 Roadrunner might be worth...

The Good... Very solid, floors are good, rails are good, roof, doors, fenders, hood, deck lid all good.. Been in Central Ca. it's whole life...View attachment 1974180View attachment 1974181View attachment 1974182View attachment 1974183

The Bad... No build sheet or fender tag... The guy who owned it before my buddy passed away & before that he had misplaced the tag, never had a sheet... It is still mostly original paint so the color is pretty apparent... The N96 cable is still in place.... Trunk floor, it's not blown up but it's crusty enough I would replace it... The back window channel needs a couple small patches, definitely not worth replacing the dutchman panel... Drivers rear quarter behind the wheel needs a patch, he has a solid original piece cut off a donor years ago...

Originally a 383-4 with a 4 Spd and an Air Grabber Hood, Bench seat....
Comes with either a NOM 383 core or a 440 core... Plus a A833, Overall a pretty complete solid project... He has seats

I can get more photos if there's something you need to see to put a value on the car..
I think with a good title but nothing else to back up color etc $12,000 to $15,000 IMO

Send me more pictures! Engine bay, underneath if possible and where it’s actually located for a peek if I choose to

I see your point as well, for me though…. I am not a purist that longs for a rare car. It just isn’t my style. I appreciate them but don’t care as much.
Two identical cars mechanically, one being genuine and the other being a clone? Most people probably care. I don’t. I like them for the beauty , the sounds-feel-smells and fun from driving them.
Mine I just picked up is a clone and I have no fear now. Driving a rarer car feels like every turn some tard is going go hit me.

I’d love to take on that car and bring it back to life. I just have to be honest with myself and admit I don’t have the time to dedicate to it. It’s a solid project, I’ve seen it in person. Somebody needs to put it back on the road.
I second that I would take it now but have two other projects needing finishing hence not getting any younger at 65.

He wont look like a tool at 15k. That said, i dunno what is a fair offer. Hagerty had an article recently saying the spread is growing from a project to a nice car.
