Having a issue with my 72 charger with 383 with a holly 600 4 barrel electric choke. I had the same issue with the car before where it runs fine until it gets hot and then the car will die at idle unless in neutral or you give the car gas when sitting there. Have had the carb "professionally" tuned and a new power valve installed the carb was a rebuilt from national carburetor. Also had a mopar performance electronic ignition system installed to get rid of points and the car was running fine for a while now its back to doing the same thing. Any idea on what could cause the issue? :angryfire:

Is your engine stock? Stock cam, compression, etc....?

Temperature? Today's fuel can vaporize with some heat soak without the engine temp being too high. Had some similar issues w/440 and 850 Demon. Put a one inch spacer under carb and had the fuel lines wrapped and rerouted. Cured.

Could it be vapor in the fuel? I took out the vapor tank and plug the port holes on the tank and bought a vent hole filler cap but sometimes I believe the fuel gets vapor in the lines when I shut the car off I can sometimes its almost like the fuel is bubbling in the filter
