hi guys.

getting close to having my '73 RR clone finished..

but i am concerned about the worn out looking rubber isolators attached to k frame.

its hard to find much info at all on replacement options.. or even what the heck to search for...

seems that firm feel company offers aluminum sub frame isolators..? is this even the same type thing? its hard to tell in pics..

any and all help appreciated.. rock on.

I'd mount it up solid, and get rid of any movement in the front-end.

Three choices:

OEM rubber

Polyurethane (stiffer)

Solid aluminum

Changing them is a bit of an adventure as you have to drop the K frame to it's fullest extent and even then the inner sleeve is too long to clear.

Even more challenging with engine in car.

We are getting close to having these available for those cars needing these pieces. The metal fab work for the K-Frame isolators is complete and we are now doing the transmission / torsion bar metal mounts. The stage we are at is making the correct rubber bushing that is used in conjunction with the metal pieces. I would like to say that they will be available by April. These pieces will be exactly like the originals including the mounting bolts, the only thing that will be missing will be the part number that is molded into the originals.
