wrong speaker for dash?

Hummmmmmmmmm, sort of like a square peg into a round hole. Speaker mounting tabs seem to short. Is there a frame the speaker mounts to and then the whole thing mounts to the dash? In one of the pictures you will see one hole is connected, then the other one is to far away.

For the new speakers you still use the mounting bracket but you can’t use those tabs for the reason you stated. Go to the hardware store and get 2 screws, 4 nuts and some washers. You may have to file the head of the screw to get the vent in.

That is what I was thinking, I thought I saw a bracket in a post awhile ago.......now I have to find one!

When you do find one....I have a place in California that rebuilds the guts with new cone etc and it is very reasonable.....Pm me if you decide to....
