My 73 Charger. Lots of time and money in this ratty car. Yesterday I took it to the Fly and Drive show in Wickenburg AZ. It was very cold in the morning, in the 40's. Got there before sunrise. As the sun comes up you can start taking off layers. I was taking my coat back to the car, as I walked up a couple of young men were looking at it. I slowed my step to hear what they were saying. " all of this (as he pointed around the body), and all this inside is new". Not what they expected I guess. That is the entire point in that car. Looks like a delapidated bucket from the outside, interior and the engine is not proportional to the outside. They got it. Then...

On the drive home. 4 lane divided highway, speed limit 65 and everyone moving at 75 to 80. Red light ahead so we came to a stop. A newer Charger R/T was coming up beside me in the left lane. As we went ahead the car in front of him moved to the right lane leaving a clear open road ahead. I moved over behind him. Very loud exhaust is all could tell about the car otherwise looking stock. He punched it and so did I. Quickly climbed up on his ***, he moves to the right lane. That means he was watching me. I passed him like he was standing still. Got up in to the lower end of triple digits and backed off. Then he blows passed me and slows like he wants to do it again. No need.

Yesterday the time, money, and effort all payed off. It was a good day.
