One statement in that article I have issue with "The Hemi-powered LO23 Darts were available with either transmission, and they all got the Dana 60". My Dart although rebodied, has original suspension front and rear from a real LO23 car. It's an automatic and a 8 3/4. With 4.30 gears that have been changed to 4.10.

Don Garlits museum has a white '66 Dodge Coronet four door sedan with a 426 HEMI, and dual quads. It's a former FBI car. I do not know if the car was outfitted with the hemi from the factory, or afterward.

You’re absolutely right, of course- the manuals got the Dana 60 and the autos got the 8 3/4. The article wasn’t vetted very well.
