Please Help!! Engine seems to be boiling...

I don't know what went wrong with my 72 Road Runner, has 440 in it. After I start it and let it stand for 5mins or so, the engine starts boiling. I changed the coolant, the thermostat and its housing, still no help.. it just started out of no where...

Can anyone give me some pointers pls...

does it boil out of the radiator? why did you change the other stuff? was it over heating before

Heating up that fast sounds like a blown head gasket or cracked head. You can rent a pressure tester at the zone or advance. Put pressure on the system ans see if it holds. But before you do that test remove the rad, cap and start the engine. If you see air bubbles in the coolant its a head gasket. Now put pressure on the system, if it don't hold pressure and has no outside water leaks its a head gasket. When a head gasket leaks from combustion chamber to water jacket you don't get water in the oil. You get about 5000psi of hot combustion pushed into the water jacket.

make sure the thermostat is in the correct way first off. ifit is than go too plan b as suggested

ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask first and buy parts later.

Did you look at the fron of the radiator for blockage?

Might have picked up a newspaper or plastic bag.

With car heated up, remove cap and start car and check for coolant flow.

Radiator cap may need to be replaced. Has to have proper pressure in the radiator or the coolant will boil at 212 degrees.
