73 charger quarter question

in a month or 2 i am hopping to be close to ready to hang quarters on my charger i was wondering sense im most likely not going to find any used ones off a car, were is my best bet on buying skins? im not sure who all makes them or what the best fit and price are. any help would be appreciated

A year ago there were ebay listings for $125 or $300. Now there are just the $300 listings. Sherman also makes them (I think they are the same, but can't prove it) Some of their other products are just OK quality, but there may be others.

Used ones might be easier to find than you might think.
I found a 73 with a nearly perfect pass side and a 80% driver side and cut them both off.
They are 1000 times better than what's on my 74.
I've seen whole cars with decent quarters for $1000 and under.
I just found a Sherman/Goodmark driver side for $125 from a distributor that had some scratch and dent items.
I'm fairly sure this is the $300/$399 one listed on ebay.
I was surprised that it had both Sherman AND Goodmark stickers on it.
This piece is thinner metal than the factory used.
AMD now has skins and full quarters for 71 and 72.
The price of the skins is actually LOWER than the ebay Sherman/Goodmark listings.
I'd almost bet tha the 72 skin will work on 73/74.
The big difference I can find is the body line above where the pin-stripe would be, is much more pronounced on 73/74, and some of the curves above that are different, including the "kick" at the rear, in front of where the extensions go.
Below that line they sure do look the same to me.
I'd love to know for sure.

Have you hung your quarters yet? I just ran across this thread.. i have a set of quarters I picked up (TABCO) for my charger earlier this summer. Just got busy with other things so put it off.

Ya Tabco in Ohio is running them again.
Also 73/4 the wheel well is 1.25" taller than the 71/2. So alot of work to make then interchange. Outter fender well is different as well.
This holds true for the fenders too.

this worries me a little bit on the ones on ebay: "71-74 DODGE CHARGER QUARTER PANEL PASSENGER SIDE" considering 71/72 differ from the 73/74's. be nice if they were specific about them or at least showed some pictures.

I'd talk to the guy on moparts... his were specific to 73/74, not to mention cheaper for the same brand.

also.. there is a set on moparts.com for 300 for the pair.. not mine... but a very good deal IMO
