I plan on buying the TTi 2" headers with the 3" exhaust system and using my own mufflers.

Couple questions about the TTi systems:

1) I'd rather have the crossover instead of the H-Pipe. Has anyone installed the crossover exhaust on a 65 Coronet with a 440 and 4spd? I'm concerned about the parking brake cable.

2) I'm trying to decide between Spintech and Flowmaster mufflers. I want something mean, deep, and loud without being super annoying. From the online sound clips I really like the idle sound of the Accurate mufflers, but they don't make a 3" in/out to go with the TTi system. Thoughts? I'm hoping to hear some live this weekend at Mopar Nats.

3) Who has the best prices on TTi stuff? I'm looking at almost $150 just to have it shipped from Calif to Ohio.

Thanks.

I will throw 2 cents on question #3. Try Mancini racing. Work with a rep don't just order online. They usually give me a discount that puts them significantly below Jegs or others. And I have never had an order from Mancini that has ever been wrong or otherwise screwed up. I ordered my TTI's from Mancini for a fair amount below what TTI wanted. Been so long I don't remember how much it was but enough for me to think WOW at the time. Of course I did order 4k+ worth of stuff so that discount may have been because of the volume of that order IDK.

Again on question #3... I'd order from with Mancini also. I've always liked dealing with them and I too have gotten a discount on orders. I don't think that you'll save much on the shipping though because I think TTI systems are shipped directly from TTI.

I bought the 3" TTI system for my '64 Belvedere Max Wedge 7 years ago. I lived near Chicago at the time, so I did an internet search of TTI distributors in Chicago. I found one that saved me $150 in shipping charges and they had all the pipes drop-shipped right to my house, while they sent the mufflers right from Chicago. It pays to shop around, whether it's Mancini or another distributor closer to where you live.

Also check out Dynomax and Magnaflow. They don't have that tinny sound the Flowmasters have.

I bought a TTI 2.5 H system slightly used (for less than 1/2 price) and the fit and quality are excellent!!!

You might consider the Flowmaster 70 series Big Block II mufflers. I have 543 hp and a 3" exhaust with the 50 series mufflers and my ears ring after standing around the car for a while with it idling. The 50s have the sound you are after, but they are loud. The 50s are not much quieter than 2 chambers. If I could spend the money right now I'd have my car at the muffler shop having 70 series installed right away.

Mike just a thought but maybe TTI or a distributer will be at the Nats and then you don't have to pay any shipping if they've got what you want there. I'm headed out tomorrow to Ohio from Utah I'm hoping there will be some stuff I need out there as well to save on shipping, so I'm leaving here with a half empty suitcase

Mancini is where I got mine. ttI is really strict on their pricing, but chances are good there will be a coulpe sets with Mancini, PRoMax, and probably a couple other vendors. I have had small problems with Mancini as far as communication, but I always got what I ordered and their prices are reasonable.
Thumbs up to Mancini.

Which 50 Series did you have? Flowmaster is the worst at naming multiple mufflers the same name. There are 6 mufflers with the name 50. Stupid.

I'm banking that some vendor brings a set out. I wish there was a vendor list on the moparnats website - only sponsors.

I am using the TTI 2" headers and the 3" system with the X-pipe. I used Dyno-Max Ultra-Flow mufflers and I really like the sound. I also bought mine from Mancini. Ron

Thanks Ron. Did you have any problems with the stock parking brake getting in the way of the x pipe?

I actually have been meaning to jot down the part numbers on my mufflers to verify exactly which ones they are. I also have a set of either Super 40's or Original 40s (2 chambers) in 2.5".

If I remember I will look into that tomorrow and tell you for sure within the next few days. In the meantime, I would bet I have the 50 Series Delta Flow (3 chambers) in 3".

Hey Mike...Just got back from the Mopar Nats in Columbus. Mancini had a big booth there with a lot of TTI's. If you go this weekend could save you the shipping cost!

Awesome. Do you know if they were dealing on prices at all?

Went to the cruise tonight and heading out early tomorrow morning. Hoping to pick up my headers, exhaust, mini-starter, SS springs and mounts!

I honestly didnt ask. But I am sure they will come down some, they usually do. But hey, no shipping is pretty good savings if nothing else. Good luck on finding what you need.

Mike no problem with the park brake cable as it just lays against the pipe but it does not hurt a thing. Ron

Got the headers, exhaust system with no mufflers and Mopar SS springs with new front hangers. They we're running a 10% off special. Now I just need to figure out what mufflers.

I have the dynomax turbos and they sound mean when you get into the fast petal!
