Mother consoles baby and... Look at the dog's face ..This has to be what he is thinking...

That's a good series of pictures. Around here, we have big, red squirrels. They taunt my dogs from the fence and trees but when they hit the yard the squirrel has not had the same luck.

yeah my jack russell snags them on a regular schedule around here. it seems to get worse ever other year when the oaks on my lot drop acorns. they use to run up the big oaks about 4 feet high and flip around and bark at him , but he started leaping and grabbing them off the tree. i have a dog door on my mud room and have caught him trying to bring them in the house.

Good photos there, my Dog Buddy a 85-90lb chocolate lab, and is prone to playing with squirrels also, he catches them, then just lets them go, it's a big game they both seem to play, he's ran across a few that were a little more aggressive, but he's getting to old to catch very many now & they seem to know it, it's funny as hell to watch them...

My neighbor has a Springer Spaniel that's stupid as hell also, she chases everything in the wind, including it's own tail most of the time, the dogs owner is a worthless piece of crap also, dog like owner...
