Hello all, my name is Brad Jerley. I'm a young 24 years old and been around the autobody/restoration business and classic Mopars literally since I was born. I work for the family at our shop; Jerley Auto Body in Windber, PA. I have been working on this Roadrunner since August of 2008 and was only 21 when i started it. Nearly 99% of the work in the pictures is MY OWN. Has been taking longer than expected but its hard to get time to work on our own projects with running the business. Really hoping to do well with the car next year at shows including Chysler Nationals at Carlisle,PA and the Mopar Nationals in Hebron, Ohio. Its been a LONG time since the family had one of our own cars to show. Last being my fathers 1969 Hemi Roadrunner that he finished the year I was born in 1987. The car won 1st in his class at the Nationals in 87 and 88 including BEST of SHOW at the Nationals in 1988. Car was sold in 1989 and that was the last time we had something to show.

Here is a link to my Photobucket Album currently containing 500+ pictures of my restoration on the car.

Let me know what you guys think! Open to both complements AND criticism!

Congrats on a great looking car, lots of work but there is great pride and satisfaction in what you are doing. Wish you well in your project.

This is just the first. My dad is currently doing a 65 Coronet 500, and after I finish this bird for my uncle...im gonna tear down his 1969 Hemi 4speed Roadrunner b5 blue...and after that its time for his a12 superbee....but thats enough work to last 6-8 years...haha

Welcome aboard Brad, You do some good work! Good luck with your next one..

Just tryin to finish this one up first! Hope to tear apart the next one by spring time....

Nice work, `68's are my favorite! Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
Wish my `68 was half that solid when I started on it!

Thanks guys, look forward to spending a lot of time on the boards!

That won't work for us. You need to spend time in the shop working and taking pictures to post here. If you spend a lot of time here, then we don't get enough car ****.:headbang: Keep up the good work.

AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A CRAFTSMAN - you are unbelievable. Would you like to do my 69 R/T?

Thanks for the complements. I finished wet sanding the entire body (1000,1500,2000,3000 grits) last night and started buffing tonight. Hope to have all buffed by end of the weekend so hopefully can get the rear end and drivetrain put in so i can get it off of the rotisserie. I will keep uploading pictures to my album as I go, so keep checking periodically for my progress!

Welcome to the FBBO forum, nice documentation of your project...

That is truly amazing! You should be very proud. I have to ask when are you going to do one for yourself?

I plan on going a different route actually. This summer I bought a 1935 Dodge pick-up. With a 99% rust free body. Then bought a rust free survivor 57 Imperial. Its a shame but I robbed the original 393 hemi out of it for my truck....gonna keep it all mopar. gonna use a small block 727 and a dana rear....eventually i'll get to it...

congrats on physically learning a skill! this gives me a little more hope in the young folks. it seems most people your age want to set at a computer, design video games, and make millions doing this. i almost wish i was there with you, as i am restoring my wife's 68 roadrunner. what you have learned growing up is un-teachable by any school.
continue the excelent work and learning.
i have looked at every pic on the photobucket site, really impressed, and enjoyed each one.
keep up the good work.

Started buffing on the body this week. Been uploading some pics as I progress. Getting so anxious to get this all buffed so I can get the drivetrain up in. Thanks for the positive comments guys. I actually want to hear some criticism on some of my work. That way so I can fix what I'm doing wrong and get better at restoring these. Wanna learn all the right things on my first one. The next two I have to do are a 69 Hemi 4speed Roadrunner All #'s match, and a 69.5 A12 superbee 4speed all #'s match. A little more high end so I want to get those completely right on.

that is some awesome work on the roadrunner.can't wait to see what you do on the pickup.

Here's some updated pics of the buffing process. Got it about half way done.

Nice 68 RR

Very nice 68 Roadrunner & welcome to the site! I am kinda partial to 68 RR's since I'm working on restoring one myself. Great work you're doing on the car! Took me a while to go thru your photobook album, but it was great stuff. BTW, where did you get the cosmoline paint for the lower control arms? Keep up the good work & keep the photos cranking out.
