1969 Plymouth Roadrunner Restoration

I will! I just sent Clay a heads up about that race up in Byron Meltdown Drags a few moments ago.. lol

Nice looking garage, but as I've always found, no matter what size you make it, it's never big enough.
You know that right!

I'm already coming up with "clever " ways to store my cap that maximizes the open space I have without compromising the buildings structural integrity.

Ok....I’ve got updates,

Bought the A833 from Clay and Sons! It came with a Hurst control assembly with overdrive.

Clay gave me a deal on a Bell housing too.

I've done some decoding. Double check me and see if I'm close.

Main Case:
C-99129: 307 Bearing/23 Spline
VIN Pad: PP8335674 - Might need a little help

5674 - does this mean the main Case was cast on the 56th day of 1974?

Tail housing:
C-99539: E Body and B Body

Take a peek at the pics.

Ok...Starting with Priority 1 Stuff (Prepping the Roadrunner for Acid Dipping).

Starting at the rear of the car; here's what I did yesterday:
1. Rear Quarter Panel Extensions - carefully photographed, removed, inventoried, catalog missing fasteners, recorded number stamps, cleaned, wrapped, labeled and boxed.

2. Tail Light Assemblies-
carefully photographed, disassembled, inventoried, catalog missing fasteners, recorded number stamps, cleaned, wrapped, labeled and boxed.

The Left Hand tail light assy. is different from the Right. Hand tail light assy. (See pics below). Is the LH assy. Broken and "repaired" or is this common?

3. Trunk Deck Lid- carefully photographed, removed, inventoried, cataloged rust and sheet metal issues and staged.on saw horses for further prep work.

I'm seeing patterns with the numbers I'm pulling off the parts. Hopefully this is a good thing.

I've got some updates:

Touched base with Gordon from Performance Automotive in Bethalto, IL. Looks like my 440 will be built mid summer! He stated he's got my short block parts, long block parts and was getting in my Trick-flow 240 heads and Elderbrock Performer intake manifold. My carb choice is Holley 4150 4bbl with electric choke and vacuum secondary control.

I've had to take a small break from the car. Life events, honey-do's and work. Nonetheless, I am still working on prepping the car for chemical dipping at ProStrip Indy in Indianapolis Indiana. For some reason, I can't seem to find anything in the greater St. Louis are which I find odd.

Might look into digitails for rear tail light assemblies. Much brighter and just neat patterns and look stock until use them. Love mine

Nobody left in STL does the stripping anymore. There used to be a guy in Shilo or Columbia Il but I never hear anything about him anymore.

how much does prostrip get for doing a b body?

Take a peek at the provided PIC.

I might take something small like my trunk lid to them for a proof of concept. If I like what they do, I'll take the rest of the car.

I'll keep you looped in sir.

Thank you!

I will look into that option! Any specific recommendations?

Please advise.

I’m thinking of my satellite even though it’s been blasted I’ve got so much undercoat to remove and I like the entire car to be spotless and then start over.

They only have one style I think that will fit a rr. I have mine set for sequential which is a surprise to most people behind me.

I'm going to give ProStrip Indy a shot. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Back Glass is out and no cracks, breaks or boo-boo's

That 56 year old sealant didn't want to give up! I think the rear glass was holding the car together though

Heres the Before pics.
