front tire options

I have 15 in. ralleyes, i have 215 70 15s now...running 275 60's in back..

can i go wider in the front?

I have 245-15 on a 8"Cragar on the front of my 74 Sat, Love em
Std 4.25-4.5 backspace, I think they are 60s but i'm not sure without checking.
They say when you start to get old Two things go. 1st is the memory and I can't remember the other

I have 235/60/15s up front on that size rim and they fit great. My dilemma is I run 255/60/15 Goodyear eagle STs on the rear and my buddy tpodwdog got me a set of eagle STs for the front, but they are 215s, not sure I want to go down in size. Might throw them on and run burn the heck out of the goodyears this summer. Goodyear can take a hike since they don't make tires for our cars anymore.

looks like i am going to go with Fronts 235 60 15, and Rears sticking with 275 60 15's. Brand is still up in the air.

Please post pics, I have 2 275/60/15 bfgs ready for the rear once I'm done with the STs, gonna go back to 235s up front. However, if I like the look of yours I might just say screw the STs all together and go with the bfgs right now.

Stock wheels on the your car were either 14" or 15". The back space should be 4.25 or 4.5 on standard wheels. A 255/60 15 will fit easy under all four corners and give you decent handling.

My Charger has 15x8 rally wheels w/ 245/60R 15 on all 4 corners

@ ma- i have 15x7 fronts and 15x8 rears...right now i have blackwall DOT BFG's current setup is 215 70 and 275 60.

@dgraver- i am not sure whether i am going w/ BFG or Firehawk Indy 500's yet..

I was doin a search looking for tire size for front and got this and if i read this right i can put 255/60 r15 on 8" rims all the way around my 69 GTX.. with no issues?
