I just realized my radiator cap is bad. The last time the car was run, it leaked and ran down the fan side of the radiator fins. When it dried it left a white deposit. I was told to spray it with plain white vinegar and it will remove it. Anyone had the problem and used the vinegar method?

Yup, and it works. Lemon juice also works and doesn't smell quite as bad.

I used the vinegar and it worked like a charm. Smelled only momentarily. I thought about the lemon juice and than figured it had some sugar and might get sticky. Thanks

Awesome! I only mentioned the smell because some people have a real problem with vinegar, my wife being one of them. Anytime I use vinegar to clean mineral deposits, derust metal, or in cooking, she gives me the stink eye.
