hello Everyone,

I have been here and there on the Internet and I know more than a few of you here know me from other boards but for those that don't I figured I would introduce myself.

I'm Steve and bought my B-Body not long after I got out of high school somewhere in begining of 1986.

Its a 1967 Charger, origionally a 383 2bbl 4 Speed car but was not #s matching and had lots of issues. After getting to drive it for about 6 months I was forced to park the Charger because of California smog laws and the lack of funds to make it right.

Its a late build 67 with a build date of June 1, 1967 (Built 5 1/2 Months before I was born). I paid $1000.00 for it which was probably $500 more than it was worth.

In March 2001 I started cleaning her up and have Spent the last 10 years rebuilding the Charger with the goal of Driving it Cross country next year to the 2011 CEMA Car Show and taking Route 66 for the Trip home.

I have taken the Charger on a few long distance trips to complete shaking the last few issues out including a trip to Las Vegas for MOPARs at the Strip in March and a few weeks ago up to Oregon and back to a car show a friend was holding. Each trip was just over 1,000 miles.

Anyways here are a few more pics to add to some of the others I posted in other threads.

The Charger is currently a 383 4bbl, 5 Speed with 3.55 Sure Grip.

Hope to meet you on the road some day.

Nice car. Interesting digital gauges. Great pic in front of the Golden Gate!

That looks like a recall steering wheel.

I was born in SF, but don't remember any of it.

I was on some of the remnants of Route 66 about 5 years ago on a trip to North Texas.
I'm glad I went that way, very interesting. Texas state roads are IMO better than the Federal Highways.

Does that 5 speed have a hydraulic clutch?

Félicitation! its in french and mean"bravo" a thats also in french.I gess you understand what i mean.thank you for your great work during all those years and for what it did cost.I respect you.

Thanks for the complements.
The digital gauges are a long story, I still have origional gauges and a dash laying around. Going to get them restored some day. I dont think the computer that runs the digital gauges is going to last very long.

My steering wheel is known as a recall wheel but as we all know there is no documentation proving they were ever recalled. I can tell you this, it hurts like hell of you fingers are in the slots when you hit a pot hole.

My Charger has no frills, No PS, No PB and No Hydraulic Clutch.
Its all about the driving experience.

Hey there Steve!! Looks like you are a FNG too....:rolling:

Nice Charger Steve!!!!You are one of a few that kept their high school car...Most guys say,man should of kept that one...www.autoinstruments.com are the guys to restore your guages...They did a really fine job for the guages on my 67 gtx...Maybe see you at Mopar Magic the 12!!!!

Thanks Bill

The cluster was done by DakotaDigital.com
It was a custom order and took almost 6 months to get it back from them.

I had then install lights behind the gauges so at night the rest of the dash still lights up.

The system is pretty cool.
It does qtr mile times, high rpm, high speed and speed can be adjusted with out changing the speed gears in the trany.

I wish I could have got the numbers in red but green and blue are the only two colors they can do.

welcome this forum gets better and better every day
