1st the button pushed right in on My drivers door and fell inside the door, is this common?

Early '69 Coronets had the black buttons. Late build '69's had the chrome buttons. I believe the switch from black to chrome was right about Jan. 1st, 1969.

My November 1968 built '69 Coronet has the black ones. My March 1969 built '69 Coronet has the Chrome buttons. Just FYI.

Steve, sounds like the screw that holds the button mechanism either was loose enough to pop off or stripped out. Check it out if it just was loose and popped off when you pressed in the button just screw it back in. If it's stripped you may possibly be able to retap it and use a bigger screw or something

Thanks for all the replies fella's....got one more question.

I read somewhere that A,B& C body door handles 68-70 are the same? is this so?
I have 2 pair of 68-69 dart sedan door handles..if their the same I'm already set.

100% Correct....Thanks......the handles seem to be brand new...and the screw had infact fallen out...all good now and I will be buying a spare set offered to Me by another forum Member...

Thank You all concerned...Steve.:upside down:

Glad to help. It's always a relief when something you think is broken can be fixed with something very simple.
