Well, she's gone.
I've been involved with her since '99. She survived my first marriage, two versions of her 340 and a 440/4spd swap. I will always have a place for her in my heart, but she's moving on to a family that will love her and take her to the level she deserves.

My beloved 73 Road Runner has moved down the road. :sad:

Sorry for your loss Rev, I sure you know what is best. Hard to part with any of our cars after we sink lots of time and money, along with some skin and blood, into them! Hope you got what you wanted for it. Question is, how long before you cross paths with the next one?

When I was a kid living in Hagerstown, Maryland, there was a dealer I walked past on Potomac Avenue. I remember walking by these cars and loving them. Thinking like a kid, I thought the purples, oranges, yellows, and greens reminded me of Spree candy. I always wanted a car like yours. I hope you can live with this. I parted with some and wished....

i actually think it is a good picture of a parting memory. if it wasn't meant to be it would not of happened. obviously the 2 most important bars on the ladder were met. going to a good home. the price was right. we can't keep them all.

6.it wont tell you its going out with the girls...only for you to catch it out with its previous owner..forcing you to confront it....have the cops called on you..... then have a RESTRAINING ORDER placed on you ,,,,throwing you out of the million dollar house that YOU paid half for....forcing you to live with your sister for 6 months waiting for the drug dealing tenants that are in your house to get the hell out.....( yes this all happened to me)...only to move back in your house and find all the furnishings , dishes, pictures.....STOLEN........ then....have it go around stalking your friends telling them that you beat the **** out of it when you have 2 state cops that can prove otherwise.
5.it dont run in the other room when its cell phone goes off.
4.it wont talk back....and it will NEVER lie to you !
3.it will love you no matter what !
2.it wont spent ANY of your money on its own...............................without YOU knowing about it !

LOL, no frog no. Big Bird survived my first marriage. My new gal is actually a bit ticked with me for letting the car go. It was the car I picked her up in when we first started dating. It's going to a good home with somebody who will love it as much as I do. I've had to change my priorities a bit and scale down my projects.

It is sad, but plenty of us can remember the picture from the other angle, as our toys arrived from far-off lands (like Illinois, for mine) on their trailers. There's gonna be a very happy buyer to take over the TLC now.

Rev, i feel for you. I had a feeling of elation when my 71 charger was brought to me on a rollback when i bought it and i know i will feel sadness when it has to leave the same way when somebody buys her.
