All four extremities blown off by an IED.

Although he took his wheelchair from his apartment to the physical therapy building, he brought all of his limbs with him in a bag dragging behind the wheelchair. I don’t know if he saw his physical therapy time as an opportunity to show off or not, but I’ll tell yah what, he showed off!!!

He put his limbs together and on all by himself, then managed to stand up completely on his own.

War

Such a SAD part of these wars ...I am not sure I could deal with it..
I feel so bad for these "Kids" ..I am from the Viet Nam era and those coming back were treated very poorly and even spit on...Never mind what Jane Fonda did !!

That's nothing short of inspirational. .....and to think we complain of headaches, hay fever, colds........

Just worked with a guy last month who lost a leg in Afghanistan. He still serving and going back next month for another tour.

Sometimes I feel guilty about things like this. I spent my military hitch in the Med drinking beer, eating pizza and having a wonderful time with my buddies. The only thing we ever shot at was 55 gallon drums half full of JP 5 (jet fuel.) Then I read about men like Taylor who have given just about all they can give. Thankfully he is still alive and can (and does) inspire all of us.

Thank you Taylor.

But was that yalls fault? No. Yall signed your names on the dotted line just like everybody else. I mean.....you WOULD HAVE shot the enemy, right? Thanks for your service regardless of the "wonderful time". You answered the call.

Sad to see, but inspirational too, sometimes we all don't realize how "good", we have it, until we see something like that.... So many gave so much, for all of us, thank you to anyone who has served...

Thats incredible and its inspiring and he may yet ride and drive that motorcycle.

Well, all enlisted men go where they tell you where you will go, and when you will go and for how long you will be there. I understand that if you are an O 5 or above (an O 5 is a rather high ranking officer) you can tell them where you will go!
