slick rubber on rear quarters

what do you guys use to coat your rear quarters with to get the slick rubber off when you get done for the day. this problem is new to me and i am heading to the track in a couple of weeks. last time it was a pain in the butt.

silicone spray the quarters before you race,then you can just wipe it off with a rag.

Same here... Tried "Pam" Cooking Spray also, it didn't work as well as WD-40

I think some guys just use a good heavy coat of wax, but you let it come to a haze and let it dry. And then wipe it off when your done racing for the day.

Also I've seen guys put blue masking tape on their quarters, just up high enough were the rubber doesn't stick.

I don't do either one, just like Polara Pat said, I wear it like a badge of honor!:grin:

I always used Avon skin so soft before going to the track...... don't laugh....it worked and left no messy oily crap after a wash...ok laugh...

I tell you what, I don't laugh when I go to the beach. That's the only stuff that keeps sand fleas off. Them little bastards hurt, too.

I have been accused of being a show car guy, but I use clear tape on the quarters when I race the 'Cuda. Lots of grit at our track, so the tape protects the paint too.
