Not entirely true, YY1. Labor cost was the big driver 10 years ago, but I was reading a report in the WSJ that said those times are gone. The big factors are corporate taxes and the fact that the manufacturing infrastructure over there is so well developed. The next major factor is insurance and liability loads here. We have become such a litigious society here in the states that insurance and liability costs are tremendous.

HT413 your right. The State wants all business to go over seas. Workers Comp and General Liability insurance is up 30% this year. Greed and Government is whats killing business. I try my best to buy all American made parts. I have 5 mopars in my collection. Had a Fastback 66 Mustang but it was just to help a friend out who was having hard times.

A business having to pay insane taxes are the problem, and the corp tax, the united states has the highest corp tax rate...

With govt during the clinton years removing tariffs and allowing free trade it opened the door for businesses here being taxed to move, then when they pushed the fwta thru... any corp can leave and do business here from another country and not pay the corp tax.................................................................
This is also called undermining the U.S. economy and part of the reason we have the problems we have today, the china stealing isn't helping but the clinton admin sure did mess everything up.

I have a business and i have no problem paying my people whats needed, my problem now is using the American made parts and competing against the china copy cat **** that everyone is using and helping the problem by sending U.S. made pieces there and having them reversed engineered and shitty at that and then govt making new taxes and raising them for no good reason other than they fuked up and lost half their meal tickets because they left the U.S. because those asshats don't understand how their economy works...
Remember that come voting time and you think it's smart to choose obama, remember who's stands with that asshat, thats right the undermining U.S. economy president bill clinton.

100% agree. Along with taxes, insane regulation from useless armpit branches of the gubmint like the EPA are ruining American business. You see that *rare* spider in the news that's holdin up a highway project worth hundreds of millions? A spider. They said an environmentalist was there and found the spider. What the hell was an environmentalist doin at a construction site anyway? There was the whole problem.
