LOL snakeyes I'm trying to get her out of the mix, not in it. If I let her start picking cars, colors and options she'll narrow it down to something I can't find.

"Eddie, why don't you just buy a NEW (insert car that SHE wants) so you can pick the color and options". Snake, do you really want me driving a new minivan or a VW Beetle convertible?

I'll find a car, preferably a 68 to 70 B body, that I like that meets one of the criteria she mentioned at some point, then it will have been her idea all along.

Not out of the question, depending on what it has "survived". Do you have any pics?

No but I can get some. It's a 71 Super Bee. 383 4 speed. 75% of its original paint. No rust through. Factory Ramcharger hood. Butterscotch with black stripes. It has a non matching HP 383 in it now that runs well but he has the original engine. It's stuck but he has it soaking with penetrating fluid. I am pretty sure he'd let it go for a fair offer because he has a LOT of other projects.

Wow, guess I'm lucky my wife's classic car want is a 65 Barracuda (although in red, specifically).

She used to specify a 4 speed, but she's been driving that 5 speed PT for so long that now she wants something she doesn't have to clutch.

I am going to look at what looks to be a sweet white/red two owner v8 car on Monday.

We really need a 5th registered vehicle (and 9th car in general), right?

...oh, I knew I had something constructive...

By "high end", do you mean high dollar, or high option?

Do you need a 440 Six Pack Roadrunner with manual steering, or a Coronet 500 with 383, p/s, a/c, and p/w?

Are you willing to spend $67,000 for a restored #s matching 68 Hemi Road Runner???

Let me try nicely to address that. Imagine you were 21 years old again and someone asked you to walk into the busiest bar in town and meet a woman, but you had to tell him exactly what she looked like, what she weighed, what color her hair was, and 20 other criteria BEFORE YOU EVEN WENT IN! And then he acts like your a knucklehead if you can't tell the future and commit to a certain type, forsaking all others for HIS satisfaction.

I hardly think I'm wasting anyone's time who's really got a car to sell, and I'm not going to narrow my choices to satisfy guys who aren't even selling cars!!!

I've made it pretty clear that I don't want rust buckets or projects. I said I want a restored car. I'm trying to keep an open mind, and I don't think the guy who actually sells me a car in the end is going to think he wasted his time by sending me info. By the way, if you're so interested in "saving posts" what are you doing reading them on the internet!

Please stay out of the way and let me spend my money on a car that someone wants to sell. There's a reason that I'm responding in PM's and not on the open forum, and it's to do BUSINESS with someone. If it makes you feel better, I've exchanged a lot of PM's.

Also, please tell everyone how much money you made last year? I think we're all entitled to know that. No, I guess it's really none of our business.

Answer in order :
1, If I was looking for a woman I wouldn,t be looking in the busiest bar in town.
2, I wouldn't expect to get a "high end" b-body "restored" ( that's what you said) for $5000
3, $62,473 to be exact

Any more questions, just fire away !!
