Hi guys, just wanted to say "HI" and let you know about my services. My name is Doug Lepak and my business is called "The Steering Wheel Guy".

You can check out my web site at: http://drive.to/stwheels

I know, it's an old site and I promise I'll be updating it this fall so check back later for updates.

I've been at the steering wheel game for about 18 years now so many of may have heard about or used my services over the years. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with the members of this board. If any of you have any steering wheel questions I'll do my best to answer them or at least point you in the right direction.

Even though I specialize in the wood grain wheels that most of the late 60's and early 70's performance models could be ordered with, I also do colored wheels made of plastic, hard rubber or bakelite. Custom wheels in varying diameters and colors are also something I love to work on so be creative with your requests and I'll see what my twisted mind can come up with.

I also do airbrushing so special effects, fades, flames etc. are all possible. Again, let your imagination go wild.

Some of my work has been featured in Mopar Action Magazine so if you've been follwing E-Boogers Savvy Savoy series of articles you've already seen one of my wheels. Thanks Richard :D I've also worked on projects with Julius (The Wiper Man) Rick (Resto Rick) Alan Gallant (The World Famous BarrelCuda) as well as several restoration shops across North America and even Europe.

Anyway, lets see what you've got for a steering wheel or what your idea of the ultimate steering wheel for your ride would be.

Oh yeah my current ride (since 1996) is the rAtFiNkMoBiLe, a 67 Coronet 500 that had 42000 miles on it in 96' and just turned over 62000 miles the other day. This is the most fun car I've ever owned as I got to put some personal touches on it that I never dared try on any of my previous E-body rides (dontchaknow you'll ruin it by doing that :p or so I was told a million times) LOL

Thanks, Doug Lepak

Welcome to FBBO, stwheels! I have heard about your great work, and I've seen pictures as well. Great stuff you do.

I myself have the padded stock wheel in my '74, which I really dig... but I may be tempted to switch up to something more extreme down the line...

your link doesn't work

I see this is an old post but perhaps you have a subscription to your own thread .. so welcome and nice car

There is a rule on FBBO, and that is if you have a talent such as yours you need to post pictures. If you don't it's no big deal, they just charge you a small fee. It's like 1 or 2 grand a day. But for you rich Canadians thats small potatoes. (disclaimer: if you believe anything kenton dean the jelly bean says/ your on your own)

Here are a few shots of something new I've been doing for quite a few customers... and my own 67 Coronet. Everyone knows how skinny the rims are on our vintage musclecars... well by adding up to a 1/4" of material to the rim I can make it feel more like a modern wheel. Because it's only the rim that's modified, the horn ring fits and operates just like original. Unless you have an original untouched wheel right beside the thickened wheel it's pretty hard to tell it's been modified. Absolutely everyone I done this for, Loves it. Check out the pictures and contact me with any questions you might have!
