New billet hood hinges to be offered by Ted Brock Designs

I am going to install and fit these test hood hinges to my 71 FY1 RoadRunner in the comming weeks. After we get the final fit, I will send them back to Ted and depending on needed modifications (if any are needed) Ted says that he will have them for all the B Bodies that use this hinge (second generation B-Bodies). I have the test/fit set and they are amazing, Billet Hinges with Gas Springs...SICK! Ted already offers Billet Hood and Deck Lid Hinges with Gas Springs for the E-Bodies and Hood Hinges only for the Third Generation Challengers. I hope that he is working on the deck lid hinges for the new Challengers.

Interesting, It would be cool to have gas cartridges for my hinged six pack hood. Keep us posted.

Sorry for the delay, had to have cervical spine surgery, it has taken longer to recover than I had hoped it would. With more bad news back in October 2014 Ted's shop burned down to the ground. He sent an email explaining this disaster but has not responded to email or phone calls since. I checked his web site and there is no mention of being closed for business. Hopefully he is back up and running.[

I checked his web site and there is no mention of being closed for business. Hopefully he is back up and running.

That's bad news. I hope the surgery heals up. Ted's shop burning is no good either.

How would his hinges have compared to these ones? They're $650.
