So I bought a car and the build sheet has a couple strange things.....it has no shipping code and the vin number is not on it. It also on the bottom of the sheet in the remarks spot says VIP. Any thoughts?

Do the options on the sheet match those on your car?

Are there any "odd" ones?

Is it a heavily optioned?

Seeing a picture of it would allow people to give you better answers. Everything is pretty vague right now.

You don't say what year the car is...does it have any "Y" codes in the upper right hand corner? What two digits or letters does the SO/VON start with?

So does it have stuff that might fit the profile of an "executive"?

A/C? P/W? 4 barrel motor? Those are the first that come to mind.

I got some weird *** buildsheets in my car too.
One for a car a year older that says "do not build"!

It's a 66 satellite convertible. It does have air, power windows, power brakes and its the only one I have seen with a wood grain steering wheel. It has no y codes in the corner....

what is the SO/VON?

My thought is it is always difficult to answer questions when you do not have all of the information in front of you.

You have two different things going on that are not related adn one crucial point that needs to be determined.

1) The VIP issue - are you trying to determine if this car was handled differently due to the VIP designation? If so, we need to look at specific numbers and places on the sheet. The SO number will be in the top line of the sheet. Since you have now told us it is a 66, there will not be any Y codes. Look for 6** and 7** series codes on the sheet.

2) Options. Let's not focus on how it is equipped for now. That is not helpful to point 1. Let focus on what the other information tells us.

3) No VIN on the sheet. We don't even know if the sheet goes with the car. You will have to find the SO numbers and compare them to the stamping on the radiator support in order to determine if this sheet even goes with this car. Until we confirm that, nothing else matters.

Under further investigation(better light and contacts in) the vin and the s.o. was thee just very faint. It matches the car....but still wondering about the VIP....
