Jag fan clutch and fixed fan

It's a Northern manufactured radiator that summit racing sells under their brand. This is a chevy /gm race radiator. Any recommendations on a other one?

It's crazy in here because of the similarity. I run the Jaguar clutch mod, with a typical universal fan out of the summit racing catalog. I also run the Northern 26" (summit branded) universal aluminum radiator. All in all, my car runs 160-165* while cruising, and 180* in heavy traffic. I don't even run a fan shroud. I ran the straight mechanical fan with the factory HD 7-blade fan (I believe) and it actually cooled worse! I was running a small electric pusher fan at that time. I haven't had to turn it on in the past year since I converted, I may even take it off.

I got 3 aluminum radiators off ebay for under $250 shipped to my door. Radiators are 2 rows of 1" tubes, direct drop in for a 26" Mopar big block. Has provisions for stock fan shrouds as well. I did have to cut out the passenger side core support for the 66 Charger that had a 22" radiator originally, but I took my time and it looks stock. I do not have a fan shroud on my 66 Charger, only the Daytona pictured above

Ebay seller name is "Engineered Products" if I remember....I got all installed in my cars...all overheat issues cured, even in the Daytona. Running non-thermal clutch fan with metal 6 or 7 blade fans.

I actually have a small pusher fan too mounted to the front of the radiator support. I have it mounted to a HUGE transmission cooler. It helps immensely with the operating temp of the tranny. For instance, I bet the tranny fluid would vent out if I did not use the fan on a hot day.

Also, I have been running without a fan shroud. It really isnt an option for me any longer. The engine temperature will continue to climb during stop and go or idle situations. I need the fan shroud.

Lastly, I have the GM style radiator because the lower radiator hose inlet is on the passenger side. I am guessing because the 440 motor came out of a mopar truck. It is an e-code motor. Not sure how many e-code 440 truck models there were. Cant be many.

The inlet is on the passenger side because all 73 and up B engines had the water pump inlet on the passenger side regardless of what it came out of .

The stamp pad date code on the block reads e-code (ie '69 year) . I'm guessing the water pump housing must have been switched at some point from a 73 or later.

I have a electric pusher fan attached to the front of the radiator in the nose cone of the Daytona...but ever since I put this new radiator in, I have never had to turn it on, even on stop & go traffic and the small opening in the nosecone.

I took out a 3 row brass radiator, it had small tubes, maybe less than 1/2" for each tube. The new aluminum radiator has only 2 rows of tubes, but each tube it 1" wide, so this rad holds more water than the 3 row unit....and that's what's needed to keep engine cool, more water = better cooling for engine

A383WING- I couldn't find that seller on ebay. Do you mind double checking for me? Also, do you know the brand of the radiators? If I can't make this shroud work, I'll be checking out your seller.

Thanks for that info sweet5ltr. Do you mind telling me what the part no on your radiator is? I want to check it out. Also, what's your fan part no? I'm interested in your setup.

I guess I'm a little confused....I'm running one of his radiators with stock fan shroud in the Daytona....I got a 19" fan blade in there..fits perfectly

I have dealt with the eBay seller above many times...he will help you out, I'm sure

Don't be confused. I forgot to mention he doesnt have any mopar radiators up for sale. At least not since I checked this morning.

Hey am3rican, not to muddy the waters here but have you looked at US Radiator? I understand that they make some good quality rads....

I appreciate it. I have looked into it and i've heard nothing but good things. TBH, with my inlet being on the passenger side, it presents a problem with finding a compatible rad. Most of the mopar rads I see have that inlet on the driver side. I'm just opting for a universal 2 row radiator that someone is willing to vet (like A383wing). Cost is much lower at $280 vs $500 for the US Radiator (fan and shroud).

hello am3rican

here is a pic from my set up... the only difference is that I am running a fan clutch now... not a fixed fan

You can buy a water pump housing(Summit,Jegs) like you need to put the lower hose on the driver side. Then you can find a rad to fit. Try Champion Radiator Google it. I gave $150 for my alum rad. Direct bolt in. Now a standard MOPAR small block T stat fan and clutch keeps my 440 cool with A/C.

yea...change the WP housing to drivers side inlet...then find a correct radiator to bolt into car

champion radiator,2765 jag clutch, idles at 180,,stock shroud just showed up today
