I need to replace the rubber " o ring " seal that gets sandwiched between the 2 firewall plates going around the steering column. Does anyone know where I can get one? I need it for a 68' charger but not sure if it is the same as any other model or year. Any help would be great.

themechanic listed some stuff over in another recent post about rebuilding steering columns that may help you

found a site that makes custom o rings, going to give them a call tomorrow to see if I can get a couple made to fit the flaming river column I have. The i.d. is smaller than the original column.

When I was in fastenal the other day the had an amazing array of sizes in a box near the counter. They were selling them individually. If you know the size required you maybe able to buy it from a hardware store. If you don't FR should be able to tell you or maybe you can take it with you and test fit at the parts store

yes I know the i.d and o.d of the ring but I think a flat o ring would be nicer than a round. I think if I can get a flat one it would fit a lot better. This way I can get a wider diameter but the height of the ring when laying flat wont be as thick. Did that make sense?

Yep

Speaking of seals, why are there a million plugs in the floor and trunk?
