This is why we need health Insulin shock redacted.jpgcare/insurance reform-

Interestingly, I have coupon to pay $25 (yep, that's twenty five dollars) on each prescription refill for two years.

I'll bet that $25 that the pharmacy won't honor the coupon because I have insurance.

My cost in that past has been between $75 and $150 per refill.

Sorry to hear your a diabetic, hope you don't have to pay that price to survive or get your necessary meds... Can you say Obamacare/un-Affordable Care Act the Senate & House Leaders at that time, shoving that Tax {it's not even healthcare it's merely bad insurance/govt. subsidies} down our collective throats in 2010... The hospitals & Rx meds companies are a big part of the problem, they & their lobbyist "bought & paid for the bill, to be passed", it's all about the $$$... IMHFO it's only going to get worse, no matter if your insured or not, covered for the Rx meds or not... remember "we have to pass the bill to know what's in it" {now also to be able to know how much everyone who's not subsidized, has to pay, to cover all those whom are} former Speaker Dem. Maj. House Leader Nancy Pelosi... I know my costs have nearly doubled for unnecessary coverage, quadrupaled, in some cases, for crap I don't want or need, my deductible is utterly ridiculous now, when I didn't even have a deductible before... Thank goodness I'm healthy, with no real medical issues at all {maybe occasional sore back} then also my poor ol'Pops suplimental insurance, his numerous prescription meds & especially the deductibles/Rx co-pays, have all nearly tripled too... His Medicare is about the only thing that didn't change too much, always billing issues every month, constantly now too... But I'm 100% sure, that the costs of that went up some too, a much smaller % thou, his Medicare part D coverage has skyrocketed... Wait tell you see the skyrocketing costs of hospital stays/procedures/Rx meds bills, if someone gets sick or injured now... Sorry, Rant Over

Ouch ! I'm a diabetic too,but here in Sweden all that stuff is free. Insuline, needles and test sticks costs zero. You have to move here, and don't forget to take your cars with you (lol)

How does the health care work in Sweden? What pays for it?

Tax on ****?

Tax on ****?

LOL... I was thinking really high taxes, to pay for it, but throwing in the tax on **** is a novel/funny idea too...

I know the 'gentlemens' clubs in Texas pay hefty taxes already but I'm sure most of it goes into politicians pockets....

It is paid by taxes, but you get a lot of it back. To see a doctor is limited to max $30, and if costs of medicines reach $170, the exceeded amount within a one year period is for free.

Hope i made it understandable,With my bad English I have to use the dictionary a lot.

Sure, you're Welcome, there's lot of place in the barn........(lol)

Where do the taxes come from. Gasoline and road use? Income taxes. What is the tax rates on income and fuel? I'm thinking that is why your fuel cost so much. Hey, at least you can understand the type English. A lot of Americans can't lol

Your english is just fine. There are people here that can't even spell their name!

Shows you how much the mark up is on prescriptions! I was told by a pharmacist once, that a lot of the cost depends on what the illness is. They can use the same meds for two different symptoms. There will be two different cost...

I too am Diabetic........I'm on Lantus, AND Novalog, both are Flex-pens. the Lantus superior to other slow acting insulins is pushsing $2,200 for a 3 month supply, WITH insurance, I get it for a buck a filling. BUT that's to say, I do have good insurance. IF I had no insurance, I'd be putting out around $8,800 a year in ONE type med..... You know what the sad/scary part is? I've been Diabetic since I was 2, I'm now 35, and have had Diabetes 33 years! BUT the meds since that time, have just gone up in price. at the cost they are, right now, can you imagine if I live on another 33 years? AT this cost? DAMN! And that's not even the needles to take the med, that's just the med itself!

BUT, in the USA we as citizens have no worries as we are the top shelf country of the world, sadly, I'm not so sure, our "leaders" set their own insurance and pay nothing or hard working middle class pay it for them! (I once was one of those millions that pay for our gov. bullshit) So, what I'm saying we all here as citizens wish for relief, in cost and to hope or have hope that the cost of healthcare whether it be a doc visit,. or medication, isn't going anywhere from where it is for the better. why? Our leaders don't feel that pinch of reality....

Now with all this, my health has gone down hill, I'm now a heart conditioned citizen, open heart surgery, still have blockages and dealing with them the best I can, and I'm not complaining, I'm alive and not feeling real bad in recent times, but without those meds, I wouldn't be able to say that I feel "ok"....

BUT then we all wonder why its a broken system........Creed.

Anyone agree?
