I too am Diabetic........I'm on Lantus, AND Novalog, both are Flex-pens. the Lantus superior to other slow acting insulins is pushsing $2,200 for a 3 month supply, WITH insurance, I get it for a buck a filling. BUT that's to say, I do have good insurance. IF I had no insurance, I'd be putting out around $8,800 a year in ONE type med..... You know what the sad/scary part is? I've been Diabetic since I was 2, I'm now 35, and have had Diabetes 33 years! BUT the meds since that time, have just gone up in price. at the cost they are, right now, can you imagine if I live on another 33 years? AT this cost? DAMN! And that's not even the needles to take the med, that's just the med itself!
BUT, in the USA we as citizens have no worries as we are the top shelf country of the world, sadly, I'm not so sure, our "leaders" set their own insurance and pay nothing or hard working middle class pay it for them! (I once was one of those millions that pay for our gov. bullshit) So, what I'm saying we all here as citizens wish for relief, in cost and to hope or have hope that the cost of healthcare whether it be a doc visit,. or medication, isn't going anywhere from where it is for the better. why? Our leaders don't feel that pinch of reality....
Now with all this, my health has gone down hill, I'm now a heart conditioned citizen, open heart surgery, still have blockages and dealing with them the best I can, and I'm not complaining, I'm alive and not feeling real bad in recent times, but without those meds, I wouldn't be able to say that I feel "ok"....
BUT then we all wonder why its a broken system........Creed.
Anyone agree?
