Dang me dang me, take me out and hang me. Just got back from 900 miles with the 68Coronet, started unpacking the trunk and ooops, "Did I just lock my only keys in the trunk"?

So I am thinking take the back seats out. Got the back bench out but I am unfamiliar with removing the rear seat back. Anywho, any thoughts on recovering the keys?

Thanks, Michael

there are 2 clips or bolts that retain it at the bottom corners, undo those , then lift straight up and pull it out

Take the back seat out and get a small skinny neighborhood kid(or grandchild) to climb though if they are unreachable.

Thanks all, I got back there with flashlight and could see the upper clips and lifted straight up and no problem. Cool things is that floors look great just some sand, no rust. The cardboard, sound deadener, is still in place. Skinny kid in the neighbor hood, yuk, yuk, yuk. My significant other should be able to reach it if I can locate them. It is a big trunk! Thanks again, everyone.

Great. Now get yourself another set of Key's mad and tie them up under the car !
You will be happy you did !!!

Maybe a couple sets, but more importantly I qualify as a skinny kid, with long arms. Got the Keys!

Hat to laugh at that one Boise68 . . . I've been working on my Belvedere trunk ( sitting in the trunk ) and thought that you could easily fit a couple bodies in there if there ever came a need to do so . . . LMAO . . . And I've got the spare tire well too since my car is the convertible ! ! ! More room ! !

ALL of the 66-67 B body cars have the spare tire well. Also, I had a car once where all the tumblers were removed from the locks and any Mopar key would work on it. Only problem was when you nailed the throttle, the ignition key would exit the switch and if you nailed it hard enough, they would glance off my leg and go into the back floor board.
