I have a 18'' Texas Twister fan for my 70 Roadrunner and I am curious as to what kind of spacer I should use. I won't know what size I will need till I put the radiator in and check my clearance but I'm curious as to a specific brand/PN? Anyone out there using this fan?

I used one of those fans a while back. Be very careful to give it at least 1" or preferably 1 1/4" clearance to the radiator core. They flex forward A LOT! Summit or Jegs or NAPA has universal spacers in pretty much any length you'll need.

The 3 pack spacers are more for pulley alignment than fan depth.. dont stack up many.. and use the steel ones not the aluminum... if the fan is too close you can have the long factory style spacer cut down.. if the spacer is too short I would find a loner one to have cut.. on a lathe... the nubbin onthe water pump needs to engage the pulley and fan spacer... you don't want a lot of spacer there because it can make the assembly wobble off center.. take material away drom the longest one rather than stack.... most makes fit ... but measure the nubbin some are1/2or 3/4" oget the right one not a universal

I ended up getting a Derale spacer from Summit for 11 bucks, what a bargain. I live about 25 minutes from the Summit in Ohio so in was a no brainer.

How do you find the fan for cooling in traffic?
