I just signed up, I read a thread on the 66 Dodge Coronet one of 11 4 speed cars built, and the mention of the 2 year old Silver 4 spd car which was stolen. Yep, I am still the rightful owner of the Silver Hemi retaining all paperwork and registration since it left me back in 1968. after returning from active duty with the Navy
I purchased a 70 cuda gone through the Vett stages, Hurst Olds, Jags, and a 30 year owner of three GT 350 Shelby's
I ran the Silver Coronet on NYC connecting Hi Ways, with 383 4BBL fender emblems.....I still have one of her original 426 Hemi emblem with all the paperwork. Incredible Machine, and yes still looking for Her after all these years!
I hope to follow this sites threads and will be happy to post more info on this Hi 11 second National Speedway terror.

Welcome to FBBO from PA!

Sorry to hear about your car - it is something that I worry about with my car too. In my opinion, I would post the full VIN. Get the word out there so if it still exists there is a greater chance of someone finding out and notifying authorities.

Even if it never makes it way back, I hope you get another opportunity to own one of these great cars...

Thanks Hawk, it's been a life long search which still continues, as far as the full Vin I fear a clone or air car would surface. About the only thing we had back in the day were Krook locks From the steering wheel to the clutch peddle. Now days we have gps...Pete

I don't think anyone would dare make a clone car...because you'd be the owner.

Welcome to the site Pete!

Sorry about your loss. I always say that these kind of people get it in the end. And they will...

Very true, however many wind up overseas such as the case of the 66 Jag XKE found on the Hi seas recently, lucky it was recovered after 40 years. Pete

Welcome to FBBO,
too bad about that stolen car story,
maybe someday it'll turn up

Welcome to the Forum Pete!
Great story!
I'm sorry you have never found your car again.
Truly a Great car with a real "Street Cred" history.

Send us some pics and tell us some more stories of your street racing and drag strip tales!

Thanks, in all the great machines I have owned, not one picture surfaced. I am sure some old Girl Friends have a few not knowing what this great Hemi was. 427/435 corvettes creamed, jaw dropping expressions on their faces watching those 383 4bbl fender emblems pulling a car length away from them. Running down Sunrise Highway running in front of Motion, blowing away Baldwin Motion machines, hey, I was 19 years old and had a Hemi racing team as close friends who kept this WE21H machine running. Man it was cold that winter driving to work with no factory heater. Thank God for Jo Han hand warmers back then.....Pete

Yea, good Ol 260, as A licensed Aircraft Mech 115 grade Aviation fuel was the trick. Sure would love to come up with a picture. Pete
