seam sealer?

When I took the old trunk floor out there was seam sealer between the floor and the tail panel. Do I need to put seam sealer back between the two before I spot weld? This is on a 74 Charger

No you would seam seal after you weld. Unless you use a resistance spot welder ( there are some weld through glues and seam sealers for those ) if you mig weld you would have a big mess on you hands not to mention it would probably catch fire. use a good weld through primer tough.

Will be using my mig and and weld through primer. Did not think about it catching fire. Thanks
