Check out my fuel line

Something's just work out, just the way you been Thinkin what y'all think about my new fuel line. I made it from s/s 3/8 tubing. Got from work. Welded a smoker for trade in left over tubing. And fittins here and there over the last 6 months. The pressure regular fuel IN (bottom) and two fuel OUT (sides) we'll I have one of the outs plugged ? Can I install fuel gauge here? Now I'm goint under to take and install pump and filter, is my filter. Big anuff ?

Not concerned about stress put on the lines from the motor torquing against the motor mounts? I always assume there is a little movement of the motor, even if the mounts are new and I would worry you might get a stress crack in the line where it goes into the fitting at the pump.

Otherwise it looks fantastic.

Iv got about 4 inch place wher Iv got rubber hose Iv just turned the line coming from regular to get it straight. then rubber then back to s/s about where the old mech fuel pump went . That should work right?

Thanks havnt put soft line on yet , like to have steel braded hose, iv got rubber hose guess ill use that , want have to spend money or start me lying

Thanks meep meep. I. Been working at BMW plant in Greenville we've been building a paint booth. been getting them from one of the contractors. They throw away so much stuff. I dig around in the dumpster. Folks are So damn wasteful now a days. This week we are starting a job at Boeing first things first find dumpster See if I can fab some 787 parts on the plymouth. Hehe wonder if I can get 787 motor in the trunk? Maybe a wing. Lol

Haha! Dumpster diving at it's best! I'm not far from Silicon Valley and that's the term used by folks who used to collect stuff from, say, Applied Materials dumpster and resell it. There have been businesses built and still going on that very principal. In my world it's all high vacuum equipment and those fittings are a huge part of it. I'm putting in a high vacuum. Right now. It's one for clean up on jet motors I take it. I'm in Charleston sc at Boeing Plant .....Donaldson Torit

When you put that rubber line in the gap, put a loop in it or at least a wiggle; you'll need the length to allow for movement. Things will move more than you think.

As for a pressure gauge, realize that they tend to be good places to break and spew gas all over. As a race tech inspector, I make people remove them any time I find them. If you can, install a tee, with a fitting where you can connect it in anytime you need to check pressure.

Thanks I was kinda thinkin about a loop in the hose,, I didnt know about presser gauges braking , I was draining gas to do the fuel line , it had rubber hose on end so I just cut hose and started putting gas in can,, well everytime I replaced gas can , to refill , ect,,,,I would spill a little,, I got to thinkin this is good place for fire ,, didnt even have a fire extinguisher, ,so got me one for shop next day ,,,better to be safe than sorry,,
