Changing my first fuel filter as a rookie. Would like any tips you might have

We all start somewhere Tony. I'd use the metal filter. No chance of it melting on the intake. Make the swap when the engine is cool. Phillips screw driver and a rag to catch a few drips is all you need. Make sure the flow arrow points to carb.
No pressure or special clips to worry about as its not fuel injected.
