This is my third Charger, my second 69, my 68 my dad gave away because I was storing it his house due to a divorce. I still have a really nice 68 grill and tail lights if anyone wants to trade for 69 parts (same ones). I also need bucket seat tracks and headrests. A small section of roof over the quarter panel on the drivers side and possibly the drivers side quarter itself if I can't repair the one I have economically. Also I needs tons of interior parts and front end stuff so reach out if you can help. Thanks and God bless.

I'm new to forum,Glad to hear of your project. I to am working on a 69. Over last couple years have bought, sold, and traded many parts for them. I restored several Mustangs prior to the mopar bug that bit hard. It ain't the same.Chevy and ford parts are cheap and everywhere. The mopar parts can be rare and always expensive. But, The mopar guys are diehard and seem to stick together. I'm proud to be one.

Welcome aboard!
Thanks for joining the forum.

Yup, a person CAN build a decent Charger for $10K
Just depends on the definition of "DECENT"

Again, welcome!

Welcome to FBBO. I would like to see some pictures of your 69. I love the chargers.

Welcome to FBBO!

I answered maybe. "Decent" is different for different people, and it all depends on what you start with. If you ask "can you buy and build a decent Charger for under 10K", then my answer would ne no. In order to make that happen, you would have to get an awesome deal AND had great do-it-yourself skills to finish it off...

depends on what you consider decent, Driver Quality ??, 20 footer, maybe

if you already have the car & 95% of the parts already, just refurbishing/restoring cosmetically
doing all the work yourself, then maybe yes, otherwise I highly doubt it...

Anyway don't get discouraged & welcome to FBBO from NorCal

good luck on your 69 Charger project

Well I answered yes but if your talking about the car above then no. My 70 i just old yeah 10k would work yours you'll be at 10k just in cosmetics and that's you doing most everything, don't get discouraged focus on what you have and keep going it might take a bit longer then you hoped but you'll get it. The last 73 rallye I did I had 6k invested and 500 for the car I got very lucky (I bought a car for 500 (97 trans am)then traded it for the 73) got a hell of a deal on a rebuilt 360 and 727 for $600 and the car was solid so it can be done 68-70's are much cheaper to restore but cost a bunch more to get a start .
Good luck with your project I hope you get it done it looks decent enough and welcome to the site you will get plenty of help here

Truth be told, i'd think seriously about either beating up ol' dad or suing him!! You got a lot of work ahead of you, and you will do good if you don't end up outsourcing metal and paint work! Oh yeah, WELCOME!!

Yeah I answered yes too, but then again I was just thinking any Charger....cause there's a few 73's around where I live where the guys can't hardly give em away. Though in all honestly, after looking at your car, like super bee said, what's your definition of decent? Throw in quarters, paint it primer black, find a 440, and you're crusin!!

No doubt.. Yet he doesn't think he did anything wrong. I sure could use it for parts right now too!

Sadly I only have half the parts. I am not very far away from you if you have any parts hookups. I am in Santa Cruz. Thanks

DUDE! You've got 10k in body and paint work alone if you are having someone else do it.
