I found a 9 1/4 rear end in a 72 Satallite and I don't know much about the 9 1/4. The owner of the car told me it was put in because the car was used for towing and sure enough there's a hitch on the back with a trailer brake controller under the dash.
Would it be a sure grip or did they come with a limited slip? I'm thinking about buying it for car a parts to put my 71 Roadrunner back together. I hear a 9 1/4 is rare and I'm wondering what they go for? I don't think I'd put it in my 71, but I'm thinking if I sell the rear end I'd definitely break even on the car, plus get all the parts I want. I also read the 9 1/4 came out of 72 and up, so i don't want to put it numbers matching 71.
