Hi Everyone, I just joined up. I've been a MOPAR fan for many years but just picked up my first project car. It is a 66' Coronet that was involved in a fire. The story goes, it was under a car port that caught fire. It and a few other cars were involved. The car port roof came down on the cars underneath and all had damage to the exterior. You can see that the Coronet has substantial paint damage and both the windshield and rear glass are gone. The side glass, trin, and other pieces seem to be in decent shape. I bought this car at auction so that is the only history that I know of it... I don't even know what engine or trans it has other than its a BB and and Auto. My plans are to redo the entire car starting with the body and paint, then the interior. I will probably update the wiring and throw a few custom touches in here and there. I will start a build thread when I get the ball rolling and progress is being made. You can see that the car is mini-tubbed. It looks to be done well, with a 4 link and coils. It also has a 4pt cage that I will either cut out or modify. I need to get a back seat in there for my little hot-rodder. I plan on making a nice driver, reliable, street car that we can enjoy. I have dreams of doing the long haul on the Power Tour with this car so reliable will be key. I'll be here for a while, the forum looks like a wealth of knowledge. I'm glad I found it!
