It seems like the clutch pedal itself is correct for 68-69 or 66-70 at least based on the design of the arm for the over center spring. the hub for the brake pedal where the long bolt slides through is about 3/8" shorter than an OEM 68 brake pedal hub. the side bracket seems to be similar to a later model b-body like 71-72 b-body. my best guess is there is a mis-matched side bracket on this. Does anyone know the difference between a 66-67 and 68-69 assemblies (maybe the width of the brake pedal pivot hub)?
OK, I haven't contacted brewers yet, but be sure I'm looking towards them for some missing "bits". Yeah Yea I know I watch to much velocity.
So after some additional detective work I have determined that the the brake pedal in the picture had the hub cut short for some unknown adaptation by a PO. I can see the residual of the cut so that explains that piece being too short. I can see evidence that the side bracket is probably a reproduction that was never mounted because there is no markings around the holes that suggest it has ever been bolted up. The clutch pedal is untouched so I am good to go there for the 68 B. So this is a mis matched pile of parts. So looking forward I will take my OEM brake pedal, trim off the left side of the pedal pad and it will dupe the OEM perfectly. I just need to come up with the correct side bracket (e.g. call Brewers). and I will be goo to go. If anyone has a over center spring pin and a side bracket let me know!
