I have a trunk installed aluminum fuel cell with a top mounted-in-tank Areomotive fuel pump.

The fuel pump assembly has a AN-8 vent fitting, right now I have a makeshift gooseneck vent installed.

I am thinking there might be a better vent setup? Maybe a check valve that can let suction vent air in but not let overflow out?

Whats a good setup? I see there are allot of checkvalves to choose from.

Thanks

I use a pcv valve on mine and it seems to work, I don't smell gas even when I fill up. I went to the track Friday with no leakage.

I just took some aluminum line and made a loop then matted it to some braded line and vented it out of the trunk. I did tie in a shut off valve so we don't get evaporation or moisture issues if it sets with fuel In it.

or make a full loop 360*+ out of soft alum or copper tubing
I usually do 540* to 720* I've never had any spill yet,
never been on my roof either...LOL

a check valve is a great idea &
I'd suggest to vent it out to the outside of the car not into the trunk,
even safer yet

not sure you can see it in the photos below or not, old style vent tube

I use a roll over fitting at the tank and run the line above cell height and then down to the frame rail with a canister style fuel filter on the end.

540 with Aluminum Fuel line is exactly what we did. Then I linked it to some left over braded line and vented it out the trunk floor.

We did add a shut off valve so you don't get evaporation or moister issues.
