71- 72 Ply Road Runner Satellite parking brake cable routing?

Time to work on my parking brake (1972 Satellite Sebring Plus) after a local shop fabricated the dual exhaust system. How did the factory route the parking brake cables? I am guessing they were on top of the exhaust system and mufflers. Does it matter if mine run on top of the exhaust or below the exhaust? Thank you.

Love the color (which is why I painted mine the same I just did this last month, goes above the exhaust, I did have to drill a hole higher up in the corner for the corner bracket so it would keep the cable off the exhaust (I'm running tti 2.5" and it barley touches, stock exhaust would probably have cleared)
