I have wrestled with a dilemma for 10 years. I am disabled with MS, which among other issues has wrecked much of my vision. I can't drive anymore nor can I read or see detail up close, so I can't work on the car. I am very fortunate to own a absolutely gorgeous restored 1967 Hemi GTX. I love showing it to people and it puts a big smile on my face to go out in the garage about once a week and back it out and listen to that bad boy run. There are days however, when I ask myself why I have this car and I think about selling it so someone can really enjoy it. What would you do?

You have already answered Your own question. It puts a smile on your face. You are happy& enjoying your car. You are blessed.

Like Pops said........enjoy it until you no longer do or if you need the money.

Tough decision. I guess if I got any joy out of it and I wasn't in a financial pinch, then I would keep it. I would try to figure out what brings you the joy as well. Is it just the fact that it's yours? Is there a personal bond with it? What ever you decide make sure you are just as happy if it's gone.

Sorry to hear about your health issues. Do you have someone that could take it for awhile as if you did sell it? Knowing that it's still available isn't quite like knowing it's gone for good but this should let you know how it is for it to not be at your finger tips. You at least won't be able to just walk out to the garage and sit in it nor fire it up and this alone might give you the insight that you are looking for. I know I've regretted selling most of my cars in the last 20 years and am with the others who say if it makes you happy, keep it....

only backing it out of the garage once a week? i think it's time to sell it. hope you can read these comments, and sorry to hear about your health issues.

As long as you are able to go out to the car,,,,,touch it,,,feel it,,,,,fire it and the vision of the car is still in your head,,,,,KEEP IT!

I'd be more than happy to come to your place anytime, get you in the pass. seat and go for an e-ticket ride!! Just say when, lol!!!

I say keep it if it makes you happy. Do you have anyone that can take you out for a ride in it? That would probably be even more enjoyable.

Yup that's what i say !!..Have a bud take you for ride's... Go to lunch at least once a week in you GTX When i come home from work i always walk through the garage just to see my car...(i don't use the front door !!) i wanna see, smell, touch my car almost everyday !! if your not strapped for money then "KEEP THE CAR" Good Luck to you my Friend and God bless you.

Thanks Everyone! Yes, I have friends that can take out the car for a ride as well as my wife. At the moment I do not need to sell it for the money. I would probably be a tough salesman anyway because it is such an incredible, correct car that needs nothing. I am sure my idea of a value is quite high and would not settle for less. Smelling the Cam II and hearing the Hemi still puts a smile on my face.

Dammit! I tried, lol!

I met a guy years ago who had MS. He was a shootin fool. Some of his friends built attachments to his wheelchair to let him shooting his favorite rifle. Keep enjoying the car as long as you like. I bet your Dr. Would consider it therapeutic.

Nice Car! As long as owning it gives you pleasure, I suggest you keep it.

All above:
Keep it, sit beside it, marvel at it....
Remember: "If you need the money, sell it later on because it's worth a "BUNDLE OF MONEY"

-That alone is worth knowing "it's enjoyable"

God Bless, MS is a terrible disease!
It effects everyone differently

I`m with most on here. If it keeps putting a smile on your face every time you see it, hear it and smell it then it has to stay with you. When the time comes that you don't smile and the thought of someone else having fun with your baby does make you smile you`ll know its time. Just my 2 cents....

Thanks Everyone! I feel much better. Two other items that I meant to mention in regards to the photos. The air cleaner decal has been replaced with the correct one. The one pictured was not used until the 1968 model. Also the 7 blade clutch fan is original and correct. Hemis matched to Torqueflites got the 7 blade clutch fan and four speeds got the 4 blade fixed fan. Don't know why though. Happy Holiday's to All!
