Holy crap that's a lot of fab work! My I ask why your building that car? Is it a real bee? Or a family car? It just looks super rough,it might just be the pictures though! Ether way you have my respect for saving it good luck I'll be watching

It's a real bee the original owner put a scoop and flares which are all coming off with the new quarters I'm putting on.

When I bought the car I didn't really know what to look for and we thought the rails were good but ya that changed after taking it apart. I'm going to drive the car myself no plans to sell it so gonna complete it making a lot of progress lately

Well a bee is a bee and it's worth fixing ,good luck I'd I'll be watching this

finishing up side firewall panel last night driver and passenger

Posting update. hacking away at rear ripping out wheel wells etc

20160404_165048.jpg

i had a question. should I install quarter panels first with everything else clamped on ? someone told me I should seal the rear side of the butt weld and that would be alittle difficult once wheel wells are on. any advice?

What is going on with old truck behind the bee, looks a dodge?

oh in the original picture? im not sure lol its not mine its where I picked up my car

he had some chevs there as well that he was selling and a mustang

This is awesome, your doing great work, reminds me of the work I did on my 73 charger a couple years ago.

hope someone can give me some guidance since this my first resto

should I install quarter panels first with everything else clamped on ? someone told me I should seal the rear side of the butt weld and that would be alittle difficult once wheel wells are on. any advice?

im not installing the full quarter but the partial hand molded as only half of the quarter was rusted out

the person told me if i dont seal behind the butt weld it will start to crack and itll come through the paint? it wont come apart but the bondo will crack. wondering whats best approach? if i primer over the welds from behind, is that good? id be using an epoxy primer

Not sure about your joint question? Are you welding or gluing the quarter on. I would think if you're gluing the 1/4 on it would be fine, welding I'd seal it. Anyone else want to chime in? I might be wrong but that's how I'd do it.
I tacked in my wheel wells then hung the full 1/4s.

the issue is in the window chamber how to seal in there when wheel wells are back on

Welded shock tower and fender support bracket. Next fender goes in Monday
