Aloha, I need some help. My 1963 Ply Spt Fury vert says I'm doing 55mph and I'm only doing 40mph. I have a 17 tooth speedo gear and looking for a 21 and or 26 tooth gear. Does anyone now where I can buy such an animal . Mahalo C

You won't find a 26 tooth gear, they only went up to 21. They are hard to find, usually $125+ when you find them on ebay. More likely it will be easier to use a gear reduction adapter on your car.

17 = orange 2204 356 17O
18 = dark purple 2204 357 18DP
19 = dark blue 2204 358 19DB
20 = green 2204 359 20G
21 = grey 2204 360 21GR

Hard to believe, no aftermarket parts. I would be happy to pay the price for the right gear. Someone must have 1 for sale. Name you price !!!

I have been looking for a 20 tooth for a while...they are hard to come by..I have a 19 tooth in now and the speedo is pretty close..they show up on ebay every once in a while but are expensive...the reduction adaptor may be your only choice.

You want your cable to spin slower at any given speed, right? So you need to go to a larger speedo gear at the trans. Try a 19 or 20. Check in old parts transmissions at a salvage yard, or transmission shop.

HaHa , No junk yards in Hawaii and very few of us fellow Mopar guys. I'm running a 3.91 posi gear with a 28in tire N50/15 so looks like I need a 20 or 21 tooth gear
