Identify this more door

that Dash is all business....... lol......... I like the 63 grill a lot more than the 64, and of course, it would have to be a 2 door

Nothing a man of your skills couldn't handle.
Somebody get that man a hammer and a torch. :D

Yaaaa,
Mine was a Little nicer than that! I bought it from the original 70 year old mechanic. it was a real ball to drive. I lived In Phoenix at the time, so the car was absolutely flawless! 40k actual miles. DUMB,DUMB,DUMB!
But, I sold it to buy a 68' Charger. I still at least have that car.

I have a decent 401 lying around ........ something like this would be pretty cool

Jim Ray in Port Perry Ontario Canada, used to have tons of parts for these amc's,he passed away about 2 yrs ago,but his son Derryl is still running the show part time. It's still called Jim's Restorations.

Out here in Oregon, we have a pretty big following for Studebaker/Ramblers. The Studebaker club puts on a "Orphan" car show every year about mile away from my place. It's my favorite non-mopar show (even though Plymouth's qualify), great group of people who appreciate the aspects of a driver quality car. Less than 5% get trailered there. Here's last years photo ablum. The 2 ramblers I love the most I attached. The bronze one has a 401 with edelbrock heads and a dual quad.. Supposed to run 11's.

My grandfather on my step dad's side drove one of them...

My dad had a red Rebel, 67'. I think it had a Borg Warner (?) automatic trans. The trans was out twice in the years he owned it. I really like the styling.

That's a sharp looking car! Didn't they offer a 390 in those?
They had a muscle car line, that featured the 390. The Rebel, AMX, American and Javelin, all came equipped with it.

The classic had more detail on sides....the museum in kenosha is awesome!...a lot of AMC's Ramblers.....(lovingly known as the Kenosha vibrator )

This was 1970 and it was a 390 ci" car---I recall it clearly as I lost street drag racing (several times)to one of these all stock "machines"---My car was a new 69 bee 383 4sp.--
As I recall the rear gearing (of the "machine")was lower than mine.
Another stock car that beat my bee every try was a 427 galaxie 4sp(67?)

I do miss those days when these cars were new and their were roads clear of traffic that we could play with them on.

In those days the biggest threat was an immovable object.(tree, telephone pole, ditch at a T Intersection? (I hit that,OUCH!)

besides my GTX....... this is my "other" project.......... the Green one will be sacrificed...... the Machine is a complete #s car, wheels, hood, and all..... it's not even all that bad, but the parts on the green one are too nice not to use

this one is on ebay right now......... claims to be 1 of 1 ......... asking 500K....... lol

Forgive the unsolicited advice, but if that green one is as half as nice as it appears, sell it to someone who'll appreciate it for what it is and use the proceeds to pick up a rotted one with all the parts in good shape. It looks WAY too nice to use as a donor car - for anything, Machine or not.

Sure, might take a while to find an alternate, but tearing up that green Rebel feels like a huge bucketful of bad car karma. I know more than a few fellows who would be very happy to own something like that; wheezing 232 inline 6 and all.

I searched YEARS for the green car....... specifically for the rust free parts........ it is worth 10X more in sheet metal than as a driver...... not to mention perfect bumpers and trim. and a beautiful wire harness

the only other 2 door 70 rebels i ever saw were SST models with big moulding holes down the side and different style interior, and they are rusty and hard to come by..... I scored the ULTIMATE MACHINE DONOR CAR

there are lots of rusty Machines out there, with ZERO parts availability
....... gotta break a few eggs to cook a good omelette

I know that I'm going to take a lot of crap for this, but there are enough of those good Machine omelettes around that I'd rather see a nice base model omelette for once.

Needless to say, they are your cars and you're free to do whatever you want with them, but NOT feeling the love for this swap one bit, and I just can't bite my tongue on this one. Had to say something. Sorry to any and all if it offends.

not offended at all.......... i also added to my post while you were posting...... it was always the plan, the Machine belonged to my buddy in the 80s while i was sporting my GTX...... life happened and he let it deteriorate until i rescued it about 2001.......... picked up the green one in 07, its already apart

ya can't just call AMD and order up a truck load of replacement panels for these cars

What's going to happen to the shell of the green one, might a guy with way too many projects for his own good ask?

I'm getting dangerous (and needlessly expensive) ideas, involving some very weird parts interchangeability ideas...
