1973 Plymouth Satellite can I do this wheel and tire combo without any modifications and no rubbing or sticking out of the tires.

15X8 with 4.5" backspacing with 235/60/15 on front
15X8 with 4.5" backspacing with 275/60/15 on back

And I really do not understand the "offset" measurement listed on some?
I keep getting different info from different vendors so I am coming to the experts. I would like to purchase this week. Any help is appreciated.

That is the exact setup I have on my 73 roadrunner with Rallye wheels no issues.

I've had 265 50 15 on 15x7 Keystones on the rear of mine with no issues and room to go wider.

Not sure of BS, though.

That is one punk *** looking 73!

I love it.

That's the size tires I was thinking about for mine.

I think you just made up my mind.

Yes, it's a bit of a junkyard dog looking, although very solid throughout. Built 340 and 727, big front brakes

Wheels are 8 x 15 and 7 x 15 front tyres are 235 section.

Glad you like it, it's not one for the coral!

Well they are ordered so I sure hope they fit, god knows nothing else I have ordered for this car fits properly. I ordered a set of window felts from Classic Industries, thinking they would only sell quality items, and they were awful, too short and not even close to the original design, they were manufactured by PUI, will never use another PUI manufactured product.

For Window Felts, get them from Restoration Specialties, they are more expensive, but fit properly and are the proper design. Same thing with the roof rail weather strip and door pillar seals, I ordered from Steele Rubber and it fit perfect. door weather strip was the Metro Supersoft brand and you can get that form several vendors.

Thanks, I will be ordering all of those soon.

Nice 73!!! Let me know if you need any OEM hardware when you go to put it back together. I did a tear down of a 73 SSP a year ago.

Thanks to this thread I pulled the trigger on 255/60/15 Cooper Cobra RWL for the rear of mine.

I already have a pair of matching 235/60/14 that I got to test on my 14x6 Spyders.

They're going on period Keystone Klassic wheels with the optional gold painted centers (versus black, and not to be confused with the special edition gold wheels)

So don't forget to adjust your speedo gear and/or make sure you have the correct one installed for the new wheel height.
