What is considered a re-body

69 Hemi-Coronet? Do you still have it? Pictures at least.

It has just over 50K on it. I painted it and recovered the drivers seat.

What a gem! I'm jealous.
What model Coronet?

I see the the R/T emblem. Thought so.

It is an RT model. The superbee was available with the hemi but was a step back from the RT in that year.

Speaking about RT -- I am still looking for a nice RT emblem for the trunk lid.

Super Bees may be the Bee's Knees. But R/Ts are the Cat's Meow!

I would say a Bee is to an RR what
an R/T Coronet is to a GTX.
My fav Plymouth is a GTX
My fav Dodge is an R/T Coronet.
You bought that car the year I was born and it's gotten better with age. Lovely Ride. I'm going to sweet dreams about top less women and Hemi-Coronets

What if you discovered that the original hemi coronet dash , fender tag and all the rest of the numbers and hemi specific pieces ,came from another car, that was pulled out of lake Huron after sitting at the bottom for 8 years? Would you be pissed? I know I would . But if it was a slant or 318 Coronet 440 , I doubt anyone would care.

I have a question for those that see this picture. My car has a Hemi emblem on the passenger side front fender.
I have never seen this on another coronet or superbee. ??

I would be pissed. However in my case this car was only 10 years old when I bought it. It was from an era in southern california when a car like this had it's primary value in it's engine. (the hemi). Many were relieved of them.
I did buy this car minus the original engine.
Today that would be a big negative in the high end market but to me the high end market is not what I was seeking.
This whole car has survived (nearly intact) for 48 years and runs like the day it was made. I added a 1967 engine to make this car work for me. And it does.
Those that dwell on ultimate value need to remember that it only matters at the end. I did not buy this car for it's end. I bought it for me. I am happy.

Have heard of those mistakes before.
Same thing happened when I bought my 64 Belvedere. A few months after I bought it and had the title transferred I noticed that the VIN on the title didn't match the VIN plate on the car. I figured I was in for a lot of BS with the DOL getting it straightened out but it was amazingly easy. All I did was drive down to the inspection station and have them look at it. The inspector said "yea, it's just a typo, we'll sent you new paperwork in the mail. A few weeks later I got a new title and registration in the mail and if I remember correctly, it only cost $30. I was amazed how easy it was, especially in Washington State where it seems like they try to make thing as difficult and expensive as possible.

I noticed that. Isn't that the same place where the Coronet 500 would go? Not sure about Bees or 440s

That orange Cuda on Grave YC . I wouldn't buy it, to close to being re-bodied or was it re-bodied. What about that? Like to hear opinions, if you could stand to watch GYC at all.

I saw that one. The only thing they used from the original cuda was the floor pan. That was a re body no matter how you look at it. GYC is all about numbers matching so you know Mark cuts them out and welds them in if he has too. I always wondered what the body shops/rebuilders do about the numbers stamped on a left rear quarter of Mopars when they replace the whole rear quarter? Do they cut them out and weld them into the new quarter to keep it "numbers matching"? That is definitely illegal and immoral no matter where you live in the U.S..

Oh, that is not parallel at all.
A RR is a whole different animal.
It's apples to birds and bees.
