Oil pan suggestion

Would it be this one? The part # in your earlier post won't come up unless I'm doing something wrong.
g3511 looks the same as the one I bought. 6 quart pan. Looks like they did some part number changing...why the one I showed isn't listed anymore.
As you can see, requires a different (longer) pickup tube. With the anti splash installed, came out 1/4" off the bottom of the pan. Refer to my photos to see K-frame clearances. Works in my book!

You try to help someone out and six months later, everything has changed.
Ain't it the truth! Reminds me of...'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.
Still, just pick your own poison. Just because it works for me, means nothing!

I got a g3543 oil pan from summit and it hits on the steering linkage.

Well that sucks like a Hoover!
As stated, the pans we discussed six months to a year ago are not in stock. Some of the part numbers seem to have been changed too.
I guess we're back to square one until someone checks with these suppliers to what's replacing what they originally had.

I'm surprised somebody doesn't repop the max wedge pan and pickup. I'd be interested if they did.

This is the one I bought from 440 Source. Comparing it to the one on the 361 that I removed from the car it should clear. The only thing is I haven't installed the engine in the car yet. It took five quarts of oil + one for the filter when I primed everything. Also I had to modify the pickup tube I bought. You may not want to go through all of that. Look at the shape of this one and others that 440 Source sells. They should have a four plus one pan too.

Is your steering linkage making contact at the back of the sump part of the pan? Or is it the height of the rear part of the pan?

I hear all the "971" type oil pans have been discontinued. Don't want to beat a dead horse but what are the available oil pans right now. 1965 Coronet. Not too crazy about the super deep pan that can hit on stuff on the road.

Lelo 500...sorry, don't know what to tell ya. Bummer they make a short run on some of these parts, and quit.

All I can suggest is go by some of the wanted features on the pan, and keep looking.

I found these pics poking around the nets today and thought I would post them for reference. Maybe they'll help somebody along the way.

This is a '64 Dodge with what looks like one of the many aftermarket oil pans available on eBay and elsewhere. You can tell by the gold iridium showing where the paint is removed and the taper along the passenger side is the pan. I'm no expert but this could be a later k-member, note the sway bar brackets in the k-member valleys. The tranny mount position may help I'd if the k-member is later or not. idk.

Steering linkage is tight but decent room otherwise.

This is the pan I'm referring to -

Thanks for clearing that up. Explains all the room too.

This spring I'm swapping /6 for b motor in a '64 belvedere. This thread and the thread about fan clutches is bumming me out!
